Description
The Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Consumer Protection of Brandenburg supports companies, associations, federations, and non-profit organizations in Brandenburg in implementing the quality programs “Bio Brandenburg Guaranteed Quality” and “Guaranteed Quality Brandenburg.” Funding is provided both for the initial participation of licensees and label users as well as for accompanying control measures, information, and sales promotion activities. Eligible applicants include small and medium-sized enterprises in the agriculture and food sector as well as horticulture, suppliers, service providers, participating producers, and commissioned control bodies. The funding covers expenses for participation fees, mandatory inspections, informational events and publications, trade fair participation, booth rentals, travel and transport costs, as well as advertising campaigns. Excluded are, among others, value-added tax with input tax deduction and costs already funded from other sources.
The grant is provided as co-financing in the form of a non-repayable subsidy with funding rates ranging from 70% to 100%—depending on the measure and program—and a maximum funding amount of up to €100,000 per measure. The project duration may be up to 84 months. A prerequisite is the neutral information of all program participants and, in the case of advertising campaigns, the verifiable involvement of at least three final beneficiaries along the value chain. The application must include the application form, project description, financing plan, and declarations regarding de minimis aid, SME definition, and companies in difficulty. Applications can be submitted in writing at any time until December 31, 2026. The program aims to strengthen regional value creation, increase the market presence of regionally produced agricultural and food products, and sustainably expand the recognition of the quality labels.
