Description
The funding program "Strengthening Equality – Qualifications for Women’s Representatives/Equality Officers (ESF+ 2021–2027)" aims to sustainably improve the quality of equality work in Bavaria. With the involvement of the European Social Fund Plus as well as additional state subsidies, training and coaching measures are specifically implemented in continuing education and public institutions, companies, and other eligible institutions. The program is aimed at managers, representatives, and persons responsible working in the field of equality and supports them in expanding their competencies and developing innovative learning concepts. Structured qualification programs with a minimum scope of 12 teaching units per participant ensure a solid and practice-oriented further education.
The measure is specifically targeted at equality officers from the private sector and welfare organizations residing or working in Bavaria. By using subsidies composed of 40% ESF+ funds and 20% state funds, a sustainable contribution is made to strengthening individual resilience and increasing professional action competencies. Furthermore, the program promotes the integration of innovative approaches such as blended learning and other interactive learning formats that meet the diverse requirements and conditions of modern workplaces. Continuing education providers have the opportunity to test and implement new concepts for conveying equality-relevant content.
Applications are submitted exclusively via the ESF Bavaria 2021 online portal, with legal entities headquartered and operating in Germany being eligible to apply. Funding requirements include, among others, the implementation of the measure in Bavaria, a minimum number of eight eligible participants at the start, and a preparation period of no more than four weeks. For projects relying on new concepts, the integration of at least four thematic modules within a maximum project duration of six months is additionally required. Through this clear structure and targeted funding, the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labour and Social Affairs lays the foundation for forward-looking equality work that sets sustainable impulses for all involved actors.
