Up to 50% of the documented eligible net costs for training focused on business administration and internationalization are funded. Both in-person and online courses can be utilized over a maximum period of six months. A prerequisite is active membership in the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber or the Chambers of Civil Engineers, as well as a minimum participation of 25% Austrian capital in the foreign branch. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as technology- or sustainability-oriented companies, benefit from an additional bonus that allows an increase of the maximum funding amount from €7,500 up to €10,000.
The application can be submitted via the online funding account by no later than 31 December 2026. Evaluation criteria include the completeness of the documents, the prospects of success of the training project, and the macroeconomic benefit. For the application, among other documents, the training institute’s offer, a participant list signed by the provider, as well as proof of foreign activity and any applicable technology or sustainability bonus must be uploaded. Travel expenses, language courses, and legally mandated training are excluded. After a positive funding approval and submission of the funding contract, the billing functions are available in the portal. Billing documents must be submitted no later than nine months after the application date or by 31 March 2027 at the latest.
