Description
With the Graz Children's Bike Bonus 2025/2026, the City of Graz supports third-grade students in Graz with a one-time voucher worth €250 for the purchase of their own children's bicycle. The measure aims to introduce young Graz residents to cycling in a playful manner, sustainably enhance their mobility, and contribute to energy efficiency and climate protection. Eligible are private individuals attending the third grade of a public or private elementary school in Graz and having their main residence there. The full funding amount can be used for the purchase of a children's bicycle, appropriate safety equipment (e.g., bicycle helmet, lock, bell, reflectors), as well as bike services for children's bicycles. Excluded are ladies' and men's bicycles, clothing, or bicycle trailers.
The funding rate is 100%. Applications can be submitted within the period from November 14, 2025, to September 15, 2026. To redeem the voucher, a completed and signed registration form is required, which must be submitted in original to Holding Graz – Kommunale Services GmbH. Once the document is received, Holding Graz will issue the voucher, which can then be redeemed at participating bicycle dealers in Graz. Through this initiative, more trips will be made by bicycle in the long term, promoting an environmentally friendly, healthy lifestyle from the start. Interested families receive detailed information about the process and participation conditions directly from the City of Graz.
