Description
The Hamburg Investment and Development Bank (IFB Hamburg) enables companies in the commercial sector as well as public institutions with headquarters or investment locations in Hamburg to access low-interest loans through their house bank. Under the Hamburg Credit Global program, refinancing funds starting from an amount of €500,000 are provided to support operational investment projects on a long-term basis – between 3 and 30 years. The goal is to strengthen the city’s economic power and to support climate-friendly as well as infrastructural projects in line with the Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection Action Program. Applications can be submitted at any time through a credit institution licensed in Germany; however, a decision by IFB Hamburg does not establish a legal entitlement to funding.
Funding is provided, among other things, for the acquisition of machinery, equipment, vehicles, and furnishings, intangible assets such as patents or licenses, internal company assets, as well as the purchase of land and buildings; infrastructure measures in the areas of transport, energy, environment, and commercial spaces also fall within the scope of application. Excluded are debt restructuring, follow-up financing of already completed projects, refinancing, loan extensions, rehabilitation loans, and pure working capital financing. A prerequisite is a creditworthiness of the end borrower no worse than a default probability of 2.30% (IFB rating grade 5 or BB-), which must be demonstrated via the house bank.
