Description
Within the framework of the House of Engagement in Hamburg, a unique platform is available that combines free and low-cost work, meeting, and event spaces with comprehensive advisory and qualification services. Private individuals, non-profit associations, interest groups, and companies active in Hamburg can submit applications at any time and benefit from flexible room usage models: from small conference rooms for 6–10 people to coworking workspaces and spacious workshop and event areas for up to 70 participants. A prerequisite for booking is participation in an information tour at the House of Engagement to get to know the venue, facilities, and team personally. This offer aims to sustainably promote exchange, networking, and project implementation in the fields of education, culture, environmental and nature conservation, health, science, civic engagement for social cohesion, and other topics.
The House of Engagement is jointly operated by the BürgerStiftung Hamburg and the AKTIVOLI State Network e. V. and is aimed at individuals, initiatives, and social enterprises that rely on advice regarding funding, organizational development, and professional training. With continuously possible applications and support in the form of non-material assistance (consulting, training, networking) as well as in-kind benefits (room booking), a vibrant competence center for civic engagement is created. Through its open structure and cooperation with partners from business, culture, and research, volunteers find not only shelter and infrastructure but also valuable impulses for innovative projects and long-term collaborations in Hamburg.
