Description
The Helmut Claas Scholarship of the CLAAS Foundation is aimed at dedicated students in the fields of agricultural engineering, agricultural, engineering, and economic sciences at German universities and universities of applied sciences who have submitted their bachelor's thesis related to agriculture or agricultural engineering in the period 2025/2026. Four scholarships are awarded annually for a duration of twelve months, supplemented by bonus prizes for outstanding theses. With a monthly funding amount of up to €600 (a total maximum of €7,200), the program supports talented early-career researchers in further developing and practically implementing their research results. The careful selection by an independent jury is based on criteria such as creativity, originality, structure, quality of results, as well as practical relevance and significance for agricultural engineering and agriculture.
Application documents include the complete bachelor's thesis (in German or English), a one-page summary, a cover letter with information on the expected graduation date and professional future plans, a current CV, transcript of records, recommendation letters from supervisors, and, if applicable, a confidentiality agreement. The complete application can be submitted until June 29, 2026. The scholarship equally supports interdisciplinary and international approaches and offers the selected students an excellent platform to present research results within a professional network and to strengthen their scientific careers.
