Description

The Herbert Quandt Media Prize of the Johanna Quandt Foundation honors outstanding economic journalism contributions that address entrepreneurs and companies in the market economy in a sophisticated yet easily understandable manner. With a total endowment of €50,000, the award recognizes journalists and publicists from all media formats (print, online, radio, TV, cross-media) whose works were published in German during the relevant reporting period. Submissions can be made continuously; there is no fixed deadline. A professional jury evaluates the entries based on journalistic quality, economic journalistic relevance, clarity of presentation, and innovation.

Eligible applicants are individuals who can demonstrate professional activity in journalism and submit a completed contribution along with a CV and proof of publication. The aim is to promote dialogue between business and society and to present complex economic contexts in an accessible way. The award is presented annually and, in addition to financial recognition, offers a valuable network within the media industry. Interested journalists have the opportunity through the Media Prize process to present their work to a broad audience and an expert panel, thereby enhancing their profile-building impact in economic journalism.
