Description
Herrenberg Project Pool offers straightforward financial support for civic small-scale projects in Herrenberg. Since 2012, this innovative model has been tested within the framework of the federal program "Local Action Plan" and, due to its overwhelming success, has been continued with municipal funds since 2016. The program targets privately engaged individuals, interest groups, associations, as well as non-profit organizations wishing to implement projects in the areas of social affairs, commitment to social cohesion, education for sustainable development, as well as work and vocational training. With an annual funding volume of 15,000 euros and a maximum grant amount of 1,000 euros, a wide range of initiatives is supported that aim at inclusion, cultural diversity, strengthening civil society, and conveying democratic values.
Funding is provided as a grant, with individual projects eligible for up to 500 euros and network projects – involving at least two cooperation partners – eligible for up to 1,000 euros. Additionally, association coaching is offered to promote professional support and further development of association and group work. For application, all required documents such as the funding application, guidelines, checklist, and a billing form must be submitted via the online application procedure. Projects are evaluated based on criteria such as sustainability aspects, social added value, and collaboration with other local actors. This funding instrument strengthens civic engagement and facilitates access to financial resources, thereby enabling innovative ideas to be realized in Herrenberg and sustainably promoting participatory shaping of social life.
