HESSEN FUND

The Hessenkasse offers Hessian local authorities an attractive loan to refinance existing overdraft facilities and to finance municipal investment projects. The goal is the sustainable strengthening of municipal infrastructure in Hesse through targeted debt reduction and investment promotion. Applications can be submitted continuously to the Wirtschafts- und Infrastrukturbank Hessen (WIBank). Eligible for funding are all public institutions at the municipal level that wish to both refinance overdraft facilities and cover investment costs for projects in the areas of regional development, agriculture, and rural development. The financing supports, among other things, construction and modernization projects to ensure long-term, efficient infrastructure and service offerings for citizens.

For a successful application, the fully completed application form Department III – Investment Promotion, the fund request for the investment program Department III, a receipt list for the drawdown, as well as a final proof of use are required. Through cooperation with the Hessian Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of the Interior, for Security and Home Affairs, applicants benefit from coordinated funding structures and transparent framework conditions. As a loan instrument, the Hessenkasse thus makes a significant contribution to the debt relief of municipal budgets while simultaneously promoting forward-looking investments in the rural development of Hesse.
