Description
Assistance for Living Expenses, Bgld ChG is aimed at adults with disabilities who have their main residence and actual place of stay in Burgenland. The program provides financial benefits to secure living expenses and covers health insurance contributions in accordance with the Burgenland Equal Opportunities Act (§§ 5, 13 Bgld. SUG and § 16 Bgld. SUG). Additionally, in the case of inpatient accommodation in facilities, a clothing allowance of up to 30% of the net standard compensation rate for single persons may be granted in the months of June and December. The goal is to promote an independent life and enable equal social participation. Applications can be submitted from October 1, 2024, without time limitation.
Eligible for funding are Austrian citizens, persons entitled to asylum, or foreigners permanently settled for at least five years with recognized disabilities. To apply, among other documents, the completed application form according to the Bgld. ChG, income proofs for the last six months, proof of main residence in Burgenland, specialist medical reports or disability pass, as well as cost estimates (e.g., for clothing) must be submitted. The district administrative authorities or magistrates of statutory cities process the funding applications in a transparent procedure. Designed as a direct grant, this measure sustainably supports quality of life and social integration in all districts of Burgenland.
