Description
The funding "Assistance for Education and Schooling – Home Tuition, Lower Austria" is aimed at school-age children with health impairments who are unable to attend regular school due to their illness. The objective is to sustainably secure educational progress by providing private subsidies for qualified home tuition. Recognized costs for teaching units conducted by teachers are eligible for funding. Applicants must be private individuals with Austrian citizenship or equivalent status, who have their main residence or stay in Lower Austria and belong to the group of persons with disabilities as defined by § 24 NÖ-SHG. A similar benefit from other legal, statutory, or contractual provisions must not exist.
Applications for subsidies can be submitted at any time and are made informally by submitting an application to the competent district administrative authority, the municipality, or directly to the state government. The funding falls under the thematic areas of education, children and youth, social affairs, training & further education, as well as labor & social affairs, and is provided as a direct grant by the Office of the Lower Austrian State Government, Department of Finance, F1. Only the completed application form needs to be submitted. This indefinite funding measure guarantees long-term support for families and helps to ensure continuous school care for young affected individuals despite health limitations.
