IB.SH Broadband Funding Loan for Companies

The IB.SH Broadband Promotional Loan for Companies supports companies based in Schleswig-Holstein in the implementation of high-performance internet infrastructure. The goal is comprehensive coverage with Next Generation Access networks (NGA) offering at least 30 MBit/s download speeds, as well as the construction of passive networks (empty conduits, cables, PoP buildings) and active technology. Up to 50% of the required external capital – a maximum of €10 million per project – is provided through a low-interest loan. The initial grace period of up to five years (passive infrastructure) or six months (active technology) offers additional financial flexibility. The funding is granted within the framework of a de minimis aid and contributes to the realization of future-proof networks for business and society.

The loan disbursement requires compliance with all EU state aid law, procurement, funding, and municipal economic law regulations. A cooperative financing arrangement in partnership with a house bank is mandatory. Applications can be submitted at any time before the start of the project. In addition to the fully completed application form, a de minimis declaration and, if applicable, further documents required by the Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein (IB.SH) must be submitted.
