Ideen!Reich supports Styrian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the development of innovative products, technologies, and services. The aim of this funding initiative is to sustainably broaden the innovation base in Styria and strengthen the competitiveness of regional companies. Not only research and prototype construction are funded, but also all associated innovation measures – from the concept phase to market launch. Both digital and sustainable approaches can be considered. Funding is provided as a grant, thereby offering financial planning security for experimental developments and transformative business models. Through its integration into the Styrian Economic Promotion Act, a reliable legal basis is ensured, which also meets EU state aid law requirements. Applications are possible until June 30, 2027, providing ample time for project preparation and funding processing.

Interested companies with a business location in Styria can choose between two modules: Ideen!Finden for project volumes starting at 5,000 euros and Ideen!Zünden from a budget of 20,000 euros. The minimum funding volumes also allow for small-scale innovation steps, while larger projects receive comprehensive support. In all cases, a minimum own contribution of 25% is required. The processing is carried out unbureaucratically via the online portal of the Styrian Business Promotion Agency (SFG), which is also responsible for evaluation and contract preparation. Professional advice from regionally anchored experts ensures that all projects are connected to regional clusters and research institutions. These measures make an important contribution to the long-term strengthening of the Styrian location and open up new market potentials for SMEs.
