ICT Initiative of the Vorarlberg Federal Schools

The ICT Initiative of the Vorarlberg Federal Schools has been promoting the acquisition of necessary information and communication technology within the fields of digitization, education, and training since January 1, 2018. As a permanent grant measure for public federal schools in Vorarlberg, this program supports the provision of hardware, software, and network technology to sustainably strengthen digital learning environments. Funding applications can be submitted continuously throughout the year via the Regional School Board; a prerequisite is a fully completed application form along with a detailed cost breakdown. The allocation of funds is based on available budget resources, with disbursements made flexibly after project completion.

Eligible for funding are all public federal schools in the state that wish to expand their educational infrastructure with modern end devices, server systems, or software licenses. Particularly supported are acquisitions of information and communication technology, including computers, tablets, network infrastructure, and educational software solutions. The process is carried out in close coordination between school authorities, the Regional School Board, and the Department of General Economic Affairs of the Vorarlberg State Government, ensuring smooth implementation. This ongoing funding instrument offers federal schools an effective opportunity to expand their digital capacities in a future-oriented manner and to anchor pedagogical innovations sustainably in everyday school life.
