Description
The Free State of Saxony provides a grant to sustainably strengthen career orientation at general and vocational schools. Funding is provided for the deployment of practical advisors who offer individual counseling, as well as for event-based implementation of potential analyses and workshop days. Eligible applicants are legal entities under private and public law as well as legally capable partnerships that, in close cooperation with the respective schools, implement measures to strengthen the professional competencies of students. The funding rate covers up to 100% of eligible expenses for practical advising; additionally, €150 per student is granted for potential analyses and €35 per student for workshop days. Applications must be submitted by April 1 of the year in which the funding begins.
Approval requires the conclusion of a cooperation agreement between educational institutions and practical advisors, as well as proof of suitable qualifications, including the “Profil AC Sachsen” certificate. Potential analyses and workshop days are limited to a maximum of 15 participants. Continuous activity of the advisors must be ensured during school holidays; complete attendance records and a final evaluation meeting are mandatory. Upon issuance of a participation certificate, students receive documented feedback on their individual strengths. In this way, potentials are purposefully promoted and career choice processes are sustainably supported.
