Description

Within the framework of the EU initiative for Artificial Intelligence, Data, and Robotics, an open call for consortium projects in the field of advanced human-centered interaction with industrial robots is launched. Innovative pilot projects and demonstrators aiming at agile, safe, and sustainable work environments will be funded. Consortia must consist of two to three partners, with at least one SME acting as the lead. Technology providers, start-ups, research institutions, and end-users will work closely together to develop modular, reusable middleware solutions and use cases for Human-Robot Interaction (HRI). The project duration is 12 months, the grant amounts to up to €200,000 per project, and the single-stage submission deadline is 4 February 2026.

Eligible to participate are companies, start-ups, educational institutions, and public bodies from EU member states or associated countries. A consortium with at least one SME as the consortium leader and compliance with the HRI-related funding criteria are prerequisites. The OnePass application form and the "Guide for Applicants" must be submitted for the application. Selection takes place through a multi-stage evaluation process, ranging from the formal verification of funding eligibility to the final jury decision. This call offers European actors from science and industry the opportunity to test and sustainably advance pioneering solutions for human-robot collaboration within the framework of the EU partnership.
