Description
Since 2008, the infrastructure funding of the PROSPORT Foundation has been specifically supporting projects and construction measures aimed at improving and securing sports infrastructure in the Allgäu and Kleinwalsertal regions. Eligible applicants include interest groups, clubs, public institutions, and educational establishments from the aforementioned areas that demonstrate model character through innovative approaches and set impulses for the development of competitive sports. With applications to be submitted annually by June 15, the program primarily funds construction and renovation work, equipment and material procurement, as well as project-related personnel, event, and networking costs. The volunteer committees, consisting of the foundation’s board and advisory council, decide on the allocation of grants based on a transparent selection process.
Key criteria for funding are the degree of innovation of the project, its contribution to network building and synergy development, as well as the sustainable strengthening of regional competitive sports. The evaluation considers model character, impact, and the concrete benefits for athletes and training centers. Interested organizations must submit, in addition to a detailed project description and a comprehensive cost and financing plan, bank statements and a statement from the coaching or club environment. Through targeted support of infrastructure measures and creative sports projects, the PROSPORT Foundation promotes cohesion in the region and creates long-term stable structures that provide young talents with optimal conditions for top performance.
