Description

Innovative incubator program in the heart of Vienna supports research- and technology-oriented founders in developing their projects from academic ideas to market-ready business models. Participants benefit from a year-round incubation process (minimum 12 months) featuring intensive workshops, individual 1:1 consultations, and experienced mentors. The goal is to build a viable business model at Technology Readiness Level 3/4. A dense partner network, practical training on patent law, financing, and marketing, as well as flexible coworking spaces, are provided. Following the 100-day startup camp, the growth phase begins with an additional nine months of coaching and briefing sessions to overcome typical growth challenges. Finally, the most promising teams have the opportunity to receive up to €100,000 in equity in the form of STARTCapital, without relinquishing voting rights. Funding is provided as a 100% grant for small enterprises with an academic background and project development starting at TRL 3/4.

Eligible to participate are founder teams from universities, universities of applied sciences, or research institutions with at least one academically qualified member and a technology-oriented project. Selection criteria include the level of innovation of the business model, achieved TRL, team competence, and market relevance. Application documents include an online application, project description, team CVs, and a technology profile. The application deadline is ongoing until 30.09.2027, with project start from 01.03.2024. This program offers comprehensive access to expertise, financing, and networks to successfully navigate the path to market and create sustainable growth opportunities for young high-tech startups.
