Inclusion through Education and Participation

The funding program “Inclusion through Education and Participation” of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Education is aimed at private individuals in Lower Saxony and specifically supports inclusive offerings in both school and extracurricular settings. Grants are awarded in the fields of education, social affairs, as well as vocational training and further education to facilitate access for children and young people with social or educational disadvantages to low-barrier learning and leisure opportunities. With ongoing funding possibilities, this program promotes sustainable projects that strengthen participation in social life and provide tailored support for individual learning paths. The focus is on supporting measures that combine low-threshold assistance with inclusive structures to sustainably ensure equal opportunities and personal development.

Applications and support are managed by the Investment and Development Bank of Lower Saxony (NBank), which, as the state’s central funding institution, provides transparent information about the various grant offerings and offers advisory support. The goal is to enable low-threshold access and to provide professionals, parents, and initiative groups with a space for innovative educational and participation projects. Through the combination of financial support and professional guidance, sustainable networks are created that establish an inclusive learning and living environment in Lower Saxony in the long term. The program thus supports both new and already established initiatives and contributes to strengthening an inclusive society.
