Description

The Kulturglück Foundation: General Support in Hamburg supports projects and individuals who have had little access to art and cultural offerings due to health, financial, or social limitations. Funding is provided for initiatives in the areas of health, social affairs, culture, children and youth, as well as work & social issues and culture & media. The goal is to enable participation and break down cultural barriers—whether through inclusive workshops, barrier-free theater visits, or special mediation formats for disadvantaged target groups. Both private applicants and non-profit organizations and educational institutions based in Hamburg, as well as individuals residing in Hamburg, are eligible. Eligible expenses include, among others, personnel costs and material expenses to ensure the realization of long-term or one-time cultural initiatives.

Applications can be submitted by May 15 and December 15 each year. A project that specifically promotes cultural access for people with disabilities or those in social distress is required. The application is informal according to the funding guidelines and must include all information requested therein. The PDF of the funding guidelines is provided as a basis. Grants are awarded individually or project-related and depend on the available fund resources. Through transparent criteria and a clearly structured funding framework, the Kulturglück Foundation offers equitable support for creative ideas that enable cultural participation for all.
