Description
The Innovation Call Vorarlberg – Digitalization is aimed at start-ups as well as micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vorarlberg that wish to develop innovative digital products or services and bring them to series production maturity. In a continuous call process, implementation projects are supported from the initial development phase up to a market-ready prototype. The funding rate is up to 50% of eligible project costs, but no more than €25,000, with a total volume of up to €200,000. The program starts with the first call on 12.04.2021 and allows a six-week submission period; the next round is scheduled for spring 2026. The project duration is limited to twelve months to ensure rapid implementation.
Prerequisites for application include, in addition to the location and project implementation in Vorarlberg, compliance with the de minimis ceiling as well as proof of the planned commercialization. Eligible costs include internal personnel expenses, external fees, R&D infrastructure usage, as well as material and equipment costs. Pure conceptual work, contract projects, routine adaptations of existing solutions, and investments beyond the funding period are not eligible. An independent expert jury selects the most convincing submissions based on the degree of innovation and entrepreneurial potential. Applications must include a precise project description with cost breakdown, a pitch deck, a short video (max. 2 minutes), and CVs of the project team to ensure a transparent and practice-oriented selection process.
