Innovation and Collaboration in Agriculture and Rural Areas as well as Digitalization in Agriculture

The funding program aims to specifically support innovation and cooperation projects in agriculture as well as in rural areas of Hesse. The focus is primarily on projects with a digital emphasis: from sensor solutions for precision agriculture to data-based management systems and the development of new platforms for networking local producers and processors. Eligible for funding are small and medium-sized enterprises, cooperatives, public institutions, and non-profit organizations based or operating in Hesse. Applications can be submitted continuously as long as budget funds are available, with approval granted as a grant. Selection is based on the level of innovation, degree of digitalization, scope of cooperation, and contribution to strengthening the agricultural structure and rural development in the region.

The program is implemented by the Hessian Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Viticulture, Forestry, Hunting and Homeland in cooperation with the Giessen Regional Council as the granting authority. It offers practical support for agricultural enterprises, associations, and municipalities that wish to implement digital solutions and cooperative approaches.
