Description
Innovations in the field of logistics and mobility in Hesse support sustainable, efficient, and digitally supported research and development projects with a clear practical focus. Funding is provided to public and state-recognized universities, non-university research institutions, non-profit organizations, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) headquartered in Hesse that are members of the House of Logistics and Mobility e.V. (HOLM), HOLM premium partners, or HOLM cluster members. The objective is to strengthen the logistics location of Hesse through novel solutions in the areas of Aviation Next Generation, Urban Logistics and Mobility, Digital Transformation, Intelligent Transport Systems, Energy & Climate Change, Logistics, Mobility and Society, as well as New Value Creation Design. The funding rate varies between 50% and 100%, with a maximum project duration of 24 months. Eligible expenses include personnel costs, material costs, depreciation of equipment and instruments, contract research, consulting fees, and rental costs within HOLM; non-eligible costs include VAT with input tax deduction, interest and repayments, building investments, hospitality and representation costs, travel expenses, and retroactive costs.
The two-stage application process begins with the continuous submission of a project outline to HOLM GmbH. After a positive evaluation, an invitation to submit a full application to HA Hessen Agentur GmbH follows. The evaluation criteria include the degree of innovation, relevance to the HOLM research agenda, strengthening of the logistics location in Hesse, as well as own contribution and financing concept. For collaborative projects, a cooperation agreement must be attached. The use of the specified document templates for project description, financing plan, hourly and personnel cost records, as well as SME self-declaration, is mandatory. Submissions are possible at any time, allowing new initiatives to start flexibly. The funding thus makes a significant contribution to the further development of a future-proof and resource-efficient logistics and mobility landscape in the heart of Germany.
