Description
The funding program "Innovative Crafts and Trades" is aimed at small-scale businesses and startups in the Vienna area that offer goods or services for everyday needs. The goal is to sustainably strengthen local supply in the neighborhoods through creative product ideas, digital applications, and resource-saving processes. With a maximum funding amount of €75,000 and a funding rate of 50%, the program supports investments and services ranging from construction measures and technical equipment to material and supply costs, as well as licenses, concessions, and external consulting and marketing services. The project duration extends up to a maximum of 24 months, with a minimum project volume of €20,000. An advance payment of up to 50% can secure liquidity early on.
Small enterprises with fewer than 50 employees as well as founders from the crafts, trades, retail, gastronomy, and book and media trade sectors meet the formal requirements, provided the company’s registered office or place of business is located in Vienna. In addition to compliance with the European de minimis regulation, the assessment considers the level of innovation, the local contribution to supply, sustainability aspects, and the qualifications of the project management. Online submission is possible until 31.12.2026 with cut-off dates on 15.04., 15.08., and 31.12.2026. A complete package consisting of a completed funding application, application confirmation, de minimis declaration, annual financial statement or income-expenditure statement, and the project manager’s CV paves the way for jury evaluation and a possible grant approval.
