Description

The Lower Saxony Lotto Sports Foundation supports local integration and encounter projects in Lower Saxony through the program “Integration on Site – Together for Each Other.” Sponsors such as clubs, initiatives, and non-profit organizations can receive one-time grants of up to €3,000, covering a maximum of 50% of the total costs. The funding offer targets projects that accompany people with migration or refugee backgrounds in their daily interactions, facilitate their social participation, and strengthen cohesion in the region. In the funding areas of migration, engagement for social cohesion, sports, work & social affairs, as well as culture & media, examples of supported activities include intercultural festivals, language education measures, integrative sports events, and political education offerings. Applications can be submitted continuously and are usually decided within three to five weeks.

Funding requirements include having a registered office in Lower Saxony, projects not yet started, voluntary engagement, and a 50% own contribution to the total costs (own funds, donations, or sponsorship money). Ideally, project costs should be around €10,000. The application review considers aspects such as the specific local need, the professionalism of planning and implementation, the consideration of current topics, and the long-term benefit for social cohesion. Additionally relevant are the significance of the project for social cohesion and the involvement of other funding institutions.
