Description
The VwV Integration Officers program is aimed at districts, cities, municipalities, administrative communities, and municipal associations in Baden-Württemberg. It supports the sustainable development of municipal integration structures by funding a full-time or part-time position (at least 0.5 FTE) for a trained integration officer. As a central contact, advisory, and coordination point, this person is responsible for establishing and maintaining integration networks, creating and updating municipal integration plans, promoting intercultural openness within the administration, and informing the relevant committees. Focusing on the areas of migration, labor, and social affairs, the program contributes to targeted local management and fosters systematic coordination among all actors involved in integration policy.
Only personnel costs for the integration officers are funded, with municipalities of 20,000 inhabitants or more receiving an annual grant of up to €20,000 for a full-time position (part-time positions are subsidized proportionally). The program has a project duration of 12 months and is aimed at applicants with a completed university degree or equivalent qualification. Applications must be submitted electronically to the Regierungspräsidium Stuttgart annually by November 15 of the year preceding the funding period. Required are a signed PDF application and the completed application form in XLSX format. Grants are awarded by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, and Integration of Baden-Württemberg. Funding is provided under the administrative regulation VwV Integration Officers and is aligned with the thematic areas of migration, labor, and social affairs. Postal submissions are not required.
