Integration Award for the Offenbach District

The Integration Award for the Offenbach district honors outstanding voluntary commitment that contributes to strengthening integration and social cohesion in Hesse. The award, endowed by the Stiftung Miteinander Leben, is aimed at private individuals, non-profit organizations, interest groups, and associations that engage in sustainable projects, particularly for people with a migration background and refugees. The focus is on initiatives that break down barriers, promote cultural exchange, and enable democratic participation. The award ceremony not only highlights the achievements of those involved but also sends a signal of lived solidarity in the Offenbach district.

All volunteers whose headquarters or place of activity is in the Offenbach district and who continuously carry out integration work are eligible to apply. Creative project approaches that strengthen social participation and bring about long-term positive change are evaluated. The award recognizes both completed projects and ongoing forms of engagement, such as language support programs, neighborhood initiatives, or mentoring offers. The foundation jury places special emphasis on the sustainability and local anchoring of the projects as well as on an inclusive approach that takes into account diverse perspectives and life realities. Winners receive a cash prize as well as media attention to further develop their work and serve as a role model for other initiatives.
