Boarding School – Funding (Hearing and Speech Promotion Foundation)

The Hör-Sprachförderung Foundation in Würzburg supports children and adolescents from Bavaria with diagnosed needs for support in hearing and/or communication through its special education boarding school program. In mixed-age and mixed-gender 5-day groups during the school term, participants experience an environment focused on individualized guidance and practical life education. Educators and state-certified professionals ensure a balanced mix of everyday skills, social interaction, and playful learning. Diverse modules such as storytelling circles, project work (e.g., "Picture Factory"), sewing courses, or a children's library expand the educational support and foster friendships as well as collaborative activities.

Furthermore, the program offers therapy-accompanying measures in the areas of speech therapy, motopedics, or occupational therapy to sustainably strengthen linguistic, motor, and cognitive abilities. Financial support is provided as a grant and is available to private applicants within a non-profit context. Continuous application submission allows for flexible document submission; a key prerequisite is a medically or pedagogically confirmed need for support in hearing and/or communication. The combination of an intensive boarding school setting, professional expertise, and practical everyday guidance aims to holistically promote the personal development of the children and achieve long-term success in education, health, and social participation.
