The foundation provides a funding amount of €4,000, which is granted in full. The application period is from May 15 to August 31, 2026. The goal is to enable young media professionals to realize innovative research and thereby sustainably strengthen the next generation of media talent. The selection is made by the board of trustees of the Sir Greene Foundation, which brings together long-experienced experts from various journalism and cultural fields.
The following documents must be submitted for the application: a cover letter with contact details, a portrait photo, a tabular CV, a project exposé including a timeline and research plan, as well as a link to a video of up to 90 seconds presenting the planned project. All submitted materials must be free of third-party rights and must be made available to the foundation without temporal or spatial restrictions. Interested journalists complete the online form on the Sir Greene Foundation’s website and upload the required documents. The award ceremony is expected to take place in October 2026 in Hanover. With the International Media Fellowship, the foundation opens a platform for unconventional topics and international perspectives in German-language journalism.
