Internal Qualification

The internal qualification supports Austrian clubs in selecting their competitors for the 36th Forestry World Championship 2026 in Šentjernej, Slovenia. In close coordination with the international federation IALC, up to three professionals, one female athlete in the women’s class, and one participant in the U24 class prepare to represent domestic forestry work on the international stage. With a total volume of €0.015 million, training measures, organizational processes, and technical instruction are funded to enable the clubs to create optimal conditions for the internal selection. The program contributes to increasing safety at work in the forest and establishing innovative working techniques in forestry.

Only clubs based in Vienna that seek nomination for the World Championship are eligible for funding. The requested support is granted as a subsidy and can be adjusted under certain conditions to exclude multiple funding. Submission of funding applications is possible during the funding period from September 22, 2025, to March 31, 2026. Clubs participating in the internal qualification and providing agreed-upon own contributions secure targeted support for their preparation. Interested clubs should consider the framework guidelines for federal funding and complete their project planning in a timely manner to ensure successful participation in the selection process.
