Description
The initiative "Investments for Youth Spaces" in Burgenland provides non-repayable grants to promote the establishment, expansion, renovation, and maintenance as well as the needs-based equipment of youth counseling centers, youth centers, premises of youth organizations, and youth meeting points. With a funding rate of 50% up to a maximum of €5,000, attractive, publicly accessible, and barrier-free spaces are created, offering young people diverse opportunities for participation, counseling, and social interaction. Applications are submitted continuously in digital form to the Office of the Burgenland Provincial Government and require a detailed project description as well as a binding financing plan.
Eligible for funding are non-profit interest groups, associations, organizations, and municipalities dedicated to non-profit youth work. Requirements include appropriate personnel, material, and disability-accessible equipment, as well as proof that subsidy funds are used exclusively for the applied project. Own contributions, debt, and deficit coverage are excluded from funding. Applications must be submitted in a timely manner before the project begins and can be submitted up to a maximum of six months after completion. Following a positive review, payment is made; subsequently, proof of use must be submitted in the form of an income-expenditure statement along with invoices and payment receipts. The funding makes a valuable contribution to strengthening youth work in Burgenland by supporting the creation of modern, barrier-free meeting points and counseling spaces.
