Investment contribution to the federal government for the construction of the sports high school

The state of Vorarlberg is providing the federal government with an investment contribution totaling €635,000 to realize the planned construction measures at the Dornbirn Sports Gymnasium as well as the expansion of the BRG Dornbirn Schoren. The funding is granted as a non-repayable subsidy and is disbursed in three annual installments: €212,000 each in the year construction begins and the following year, and €211,000 upon completion of the construction work. The aim of this support is to timely secure modern sports and educational infrastructure in Vorarlberg to meet the growing demands of academic and athletic training. The measure contributes to strengthening the Dornbirn location and promoting young athletes.

Eligible for funding are public institutions responsible for the construction measures at the gymnasium building. A prerequisite for the subsidy is compliance with the General Funding Guidelines of the Vorarlberg State Government (resolution dated September 24, 2019) as well as proof of eligible expenses in the construction sector. The budget framework is utilized on a “first come, first served” basis until the total volume is fully allocated. Through coordinated planning and staggered disbursement, smooth implementation is ensured. Responsible bodies thus receive reliable financing to create high-quality spaces for education and sport in the long term and to sustainably promote regional development in Vorarlberg.
