Description
The annual and investment funding for youth organizations and centers in the federal state of Salzburg is aimed at youth organizations that are members of the Salzburg State Youth Council, as well as local operators of youth centers. The objective of this measure is to strengthen ongoing activities, structural infrastructure, and investment projects in accordance with the funding guidelines of the Salzburg Youth Act. An annual application must be submitted by June 30; thereafter, the funding refers to a duration of twelve months. The proof of use must be provided by March 31 of the following year. The funding amount is determined based on the calculated share of total expenses and the available funds, with funding rates ranging from 25% to 50% possible.
Eligible expenses include costs for leisure, educational, and informational measures, infrastructure costs, investments (construction, expansion, maintenance), personnel and operating costs (rent, electricity, water), administrative costs, as well as project-related expenses. Information activities of politically affiliated youth organizations and externally financed projects are not eligible for funding. Selection is made based on compliance with the funding guidelines, the proportional share of total expenses, and the completeness of the documentation. The application must include the official funding request, the appendix “Funding for Youth Organizations and Youth Centers,” the annual report, the financial statement, and the proof of use. On this basis, the allocation of funds is decided according to the funding assessment criteria and the budget framework.
