Description
The Joachim C. Römer Scholarship of the Joachim Christian Römer Foundation supports professionally qualified individuals and master craftsmen in Germany in commencing or continuing an engineering degree program. It is aimed at persons with completed vocational training and relevant professional experience who intend to pursue a degree in engineering or related technical fields starting from the first semester. The funding covers four semesters (24 months) and offers planning security without the need for annual reapplication. This ensures reliable financial relief tailored to the practical needs of the students while avoiding additional administrative burden.
For an application, a complete email file in PDF format (max. 10 MB) is required, containing the admission notice for an engineering degree program, proof of vocational training and professional experience, and, if applicable, a master craftsman certificate or an equivalent qualification. Selection is based on proof of professional qualification, motivation, and practical background. Application documents can be submitted by email at any time before the start of a semester, as there are no fixed deadlines. The scholarship is intended as a pragmatic form of support to remove financial barriers and pave the way for young engineers to pursue academic advancement.
