Description
In Vienna, the Job Coaching program offers cross-sector direct, individual support in the workplace for people with disabilities or impairments. Through the deployment of experienced job coaches, professional, communicative, and social skills are strengthened and adapted to the specific requirements of the work environment. The goal is sustainable professional inclusion as well as securing gainful employment that ensures a livelihood in the general labor market. In parallel, companies and colleagues are sensitized to the specific needs to promote a barrier-free, appreciative coexistence. Through individual counseling, guided training sequences, and targeted awareness-raising measures, a holistic support network is created that increases the independence of the participants and establishes long-term cooperation structures within the company. The measure is firmly anchored in the funding areas of labor and social affairs and combines professional support with social accompaniment.
Eligible for funding are public institutions, non-profit organizations, educational providers, and companies of all sizes. The grant primarily covers personnel costs for job coaches, training, awareness-raising measures, and material resources; investment and retroactive expenses are not eligible for funding. The program is continuously open – applications can be submitted at any time. The evaluation criteria include the professional qualifications of the applicants, the relevance for the target group, and the sustainability of the measure. For the application, proof of successful activity in vocational preparation for people with disabilities, a project description, and a financing plan must be submitted. In doing so, Job Coaching makes a significant contribution to inclusive employment and equal access to the labor market.
