Description

The Job Mentor Program of the Buhck Foundation in Hamburg-Bergedorf supports young people in the transition from school to vocational training through individual 1:1 mentoring. Volunteer mentors from the region share personal experiences, assist with career orientation, and accompany the search for training positions. This includes the preparation of application documents, interview preparation, as well as support during the probationary period. Through close cooperation with the International Federation (IB), a network of local experts is created that facilitates young people's entry into working life and additionally motivates and supports them beyond the state offerings.

The program is funded as a continuous grant to cover material and personnel costs, ensuring long-term support and regular meetings. Participants aged 15 to 24 who attend school or reside in the Hamburg-Bergedorf catchment area can submit their participation requests at any time. Only a completed questionnaire is required to apply. Interested parties can find all information and the form on the project page. Here young people can access the online registration. The Job Mentor program promotes equal opportunities and strengthens young people on their path to a successful professional future.
