Description
The Josef Göppel Scholarship of the Stiftung Deutsche Landschaften is aimed at students of the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences who have been selected as Germany Scholarship recipients. In memory of the late Chairman Josef Göppel, two scholarship holders are supported annually with a monthly grant of €150 over a period of twelve months. In addition to financial support for living expenses, a practice-oriented approach to active landscape management is enabled: the foundation cooperates with 190 landscape management associations in Bavaria to specifically facilitate internships in regional organizations. This creates a close integration of scientific education and practical implementation in cultural landscape conservation.
Eligibility for funding requires enrollment at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences as well as acceptance into the Germany Scholarship program. The scholarship supports students who are committed to the preservation and sustainable management of cultural landscapes and who have an interest in practice-integrated projects. Through the combination of regular financial support and hands-on learning opportunities, future professionals in the field of landscape management are strengthened and gain valuable insights into the work of regional associations. This innovative approach helps to link theoretical knowledge with direct field application, thereby sustainably promoting expertise in environmental and nature conservation.
