Description
The JTF Business Promotion Lausitz Region 2023 supports commercial enterprises in the state of Brandenburg with grants from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Just Transition Fund (JTF). Funding is provided for productive investments in new business premises, capacity expansions, and diversifications of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as large enterprises (LEs). Additionally, external transformation consulting by accredited service providers is eligible for funding. This includes the two-stage consulting offer: In the Analysis module, potentials for change and necessary adaptations in the context of the coal phase-out are identified; in the Implementation module, operational support is provided during the investment execution. New SMEs can be supported with a flat-rate grant over twelve months through the Startgeld Lausitz. Eligible applicants are companies with headquarters or operations in the Lausitz region whose investment projects have not yet commenced. Applications must be submitted online via the ILB customer portal. The funding guideline is valid until June 30, 2027; applications are possible from August 16, 2023.
The grant covers direct expenses for tangible and intangible assets as well as indirect expenses via a flat rate. For transformation consulting, the daily rate is EUR 1,200; for investments, up to 70% of eligible expenses. Approval is granted within the discretion of available budgetary funds. Key evaluation criteria include the contribution and potential of the investment to mitigate the impacts of the coal phase-out, economic viability, and degree of innovation. Cross-cutting objectives such as climate compatibility, gender equality, sustainability, and non-discrimination must be observed within the scope of the funding. The Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg (ILB) supports companies from consulting through to disbursement.
