Youth Researches

The Sparkassenstiftung Ostalb has been committed for many years to supporting young talent in the natural sciences in Baden-Württemberg and promotes ambitious participants as well as schools from the Ostalb district in the regional competition "Jugend forscht Ostwürttemberg." With a funding amount of up to €250 per project (individual or group work with up to three persons), creative project ideas in the fields of children and youth, research & innovation, as well as work & social affairs are recognized. In addition to the financial recognition, the supervising teachers also benefit from an equally high funding amount, which is to be used for the respective subject area in a purpose-bound manner. Through continuous awarding, the foundation creates incentives to deepen scientific and technical competencies and strengthens the research interest of young people in the Ostalb district.

Eligible to apply are private individuals, educational institutions, pupils and youth residing or attending school in the Ostalb district, as well as their supervising teachers. Prerequisites for funding are proof of residence or school attendance and participation in the regional competition "Jugend forscht Ostwürttemberg." The funding application is submitted via the official form of the Sparkassenstiftung Ostalb; fixed deadlines are waived thanks to continuous awarding. Applications can be submitted throughout the year, allowing for flexible project planning. This transparent and practice-oriented procedure ensures prompt review of submitted projects and provides all parties involved with clear planning foundations. The funding makes an important contribution to supporting young researchers in the region and sustainably strengthening the connection between school, research, and society.
