Description

The youth employment project Easy targets young people between 15 and 18 years old in the Salzburg region who are neither engaged in school nor vocational training and are not reached by higher-level labor market policy measures. In creative wood and textile workshops, non-profit organizations with modest recognition as private child and youth welfare organizations offer a low-threshold employment opportunity that facilitates entry into the labor market. Each participant can come spontaneously and without prior registration and creates items such as stuffed animals or children's toys; the proceeds generated are donated to charitable causes. For each hour worked, an immediately paid hourly wage of 5.50 euros is granted to provide incentives for sustainable labor market integration. The project waives mandatory attendance times and creates space for individual conversations as well as further support services.

Eligible for funding are exclusively non-profit organizations with proven regional need, appropriate material and personnel resources, and financial security throughout the entire duration. A prerequisite is consent to audits by the state government, commissioned third parties, or the state audit office, as well as compliance with the general guidelines of the state of Salzburg. The funding instrument consists of a non-repayable grant, with applications able to be submitted at any time without a deadline. The application must include: a fully completed funding request, the most recent annual financial statement, a budget for the current year, statutes or bylaws for first-time applications, a detailed project description with cost estimates and planned cost accounting, as well as supplementary documents according to the state guidelines. Through this flexible concept, young people are sustainably introduced to the labor market and receive preventive, low-threshold support.
