Description

The Friedrich and Louise Homann Foundation offers an ongoing funding program in Hamburg aimed at empowering young people, open to non-profit organizations as well as educational institutions. Through grants, projects in both the idea and implementation phases can be supported, as well as follow-up funding and structural support. Financial assistance covers both material and personnel cost reimbursements for initiatives realized within a period of up to 36 months. Applications for smaller projects can be submitted year-round without fixed deadlines, while longer-term projects should be presented up to six weeks before the advisory board meetings in April and November.

The focus is on initiatives that support young people during the transition from school to vocational training and employment, strengthen their resilience and mental health, and promote responsible health behavior. Additionally, measures aimed at personal development and social integration are encouraged, as well as fostering intergenerational dialogue. The program particularly targets organizations committed to equal opportunities, democracy promotion, mental health, and migration, seeking to implement innovative approaches in Hamburg’s neighborhoods. The goal is to build sustainable networks in which young people become active architects of their own life paths. This funding opportunity not only supports individual development but also strengthens social cohesion in the metropolitan city of Hamburg.
