Carinthian Farmers' Aid according to K-LFF 2023

The Carinthian Farmers’ Aid according to K-LFF 2023 supports agricultural family farms in Carinthia that have fallen into extraordinary hardship through no fault of their own. One-time grants ranging from €1,000 to €10,000 are provided if the farm operator or family members predominantly involved in the farm’s labor operations are severely affected by death, serious illness, or a total loss of the residential building. The measure aims to provide rapid initial assistance to immediately cushion financial bottlenecks and secure the continuation of the farm. Applications can be submitted continuously from July 15, 2023, as there is no time limit for the deadline. The funding administration is handled by the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 10 – Agriculture and Forestry, Rural Areas.

A prerequisite for funding is the cultivation of at least 2 hectares of agricultural land or the keeping of at least 2 large livestock units. A legally valid application must be submitted together with a declaration of commitment and a funding approval; double funding is excluded. The funds are granted as a direct subsidy and do not have to be repaid, provided the approved conditions are met. Through the unbureaucratic design of the provisions, the initiative represents valuable support for farming family members and able-bodied workers in Carinthia who are in urgent need of financial assistance.
