Description

The Carinthian National Park Fund Hohe Tauern supports projects in Carinthia aimed at the long-term preservation of ecologically valuable areas and environmentally friendly management practices. The focus is on measures that contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and promote adapted agriculture and forestry while taking into account the landscape’s unique character and beauty. Eligible applicants include private individuals as well as companies, cooperatives, associations, and organizations that are responsible for projects worthy of funding within the Hohe Tauern National Park. Funding is provided as a grant covering up to 75% of the eligible total costs, and in justified individual cases, up to 100%. Continuous funding opportunities ensure flexible planning, as applications can be submitted at any time.

Successful application requires a resolution by the National Park Committee as well as compliance with the applicable funding guidelines. To be submitted are the completed funding application form, all relevant official permits, a detailed financing plan with proof of total costs, own contributions, and already committed funds, as well as, for legal entities, proof of legal status and authority to represent. Criteria for the allocation of funds include the reasonableness of own contributions, public interest, economic benefits for the applicants, and coordination with other funding sources. Following a positive decision and signing of the declaration of commitment, disbursement is made by the responsible National Park administration. This program promotes sustainable development that harmonizes nature conservation with economic viability.
