Description

The Carinthian National Park Fund Hohe Tauern supports measures for the preservation of a contemporary, ecologically adapted agriculture and forestry within the Hohe Tauern National Park. The focus is on the landscape’s unique character and beauty to ensure sustainable maintenance and use of the region in the long term. The program targets private and non-profit actors such as companies, cooperatives, associations, and clubs that operate in accordance with the provisions of the Carinthian National Park and Biosphere Park Act (§ 16 para. 1 K-NBG). Funding is provided in the form of grants and can be applied for at any time – until revoked. Implementation of approved projects within 36 months from the decision by the National Park Committee ensures the timely impact of the supported measures.

Eligible projects are particularly those that incorporate own contributions within reasonable income limits and achieve a minimum funding amount of EUR 350.00 per project. In addition to the general requirements according to K-NBG § 16 para. 1, applicants must provide reasonable own contributions in accordance with K-NBG § 17. A one-time deferral of project implementation is possible in justified cases. This continuously available financial aid supports the professional management of alpine pastures, forests, and agricultural land, contributing to nature conservation while simultaneously strengthening local value creation.
