Description
The Katharina and Gerhard Hoffmann Foundation supports non-profit associations, initiatives, and educational institutions in Hamburg with flexible start-up, implementation, and follow-up funding. The goal of the funding is the realization of social, educational, sporting, as well as research-oriented projects and heritage conservation initiatives. Applications can be submitted continuously and informally, allowing ideas to be considered at any project stage. With a maximum funding amount of up to €15,000 per project, the foundation enables needs-based reimbursement of personnel and material costs. A non-profit legal form or status as an educational institution, as well as a registered office or project location in Hamburg, are prerequisites.
For the application, a project description, a detailed cost estimate, a financing plan, and the foundation questionnaire are required. Additionally, the exemption notice, extract from the register of associations, bank details, and, if applicable, total or partial invoices must be submitted. After confirmation of receipt, the board decides on the allocation of funds at irregular intervals. The grant is governed by a written funding agreement, on the basis of which the disbursement of funds and accounting with proof of use take place. Through the transparent and unbureaucratic process, innovative initiatives and sustainable projects in Hamburg are to be sustainably strengthened and anchored.
