Description

The children and youth residential group in Styria offers non-profit organizations the opportunity to care for children and adolescents in a family-like atmosphere outside their original home. In this protected living environment, individual developmental, emotional, physical, and social needs are comprehensively addressed. Through clear agreements and daily routines, the young residents acquire self-determination and everyday skills. The support aims to strengthen personal resources, assist in overcoming social and emotional deficits, and prepare for a possible reintegration into the family of origin.

Eligible for funding are privately operated child and youth welfare institutions approved by official decision, with a written service contract with the Styrian State Government. The target group primarily consists of children and adolescents aged five to fifteen years (exceptions possible for sibling groups) who require professionally supported out-of-home care due to risks to the child's welfare, developmental delays, emotional deficits, behavioral issues, or subsequent problems following relationship breakdowns. As a permanent subsidy, non-profit organizations may submit applications at any time. The continuous funding option allows for flexible planning and sustainable care based on individual support and social reintegration.
