Description
The childcare subsidy of the state of Burgenland is aimed at parents or legal guardians with their main residence in Burgenland, whose children have not yet reached compulsory school age and attend a recognized childcare facility. In the funding areas of Social Affairs, Children and Youth, as well as Labor & Social Affairs, the program supports the assumption of parental contributions up to specified maximum rates as a grant model. The objective of the measure is to provide financial relief to families by reimbursing monthly fees in full (100% funding rate), thereby promoting equal participation in educational and childcare services. The funding period extends over a maximum of eleven months per kindergarten year, with payment made in two installments.
Prerequisites for an application are a shared main residence in Burgenland, the child not having reached compulsory school age, and the timely payment of the parental contribution without any other reimbursement. Only parental contributions for kindergarten and daycare are eligible for funding; expenses for meals, craft materials, or external educational supplementary services are not covered. The amount of the grant varies depending on the scope of care, ranging from €30 to €45 per month in the kindergarten sector and €60 to €90 per month in daycare. The application is submitted via a paper form, to which a copy of the debit card with IBAN or a bank confirmation, as well as a confirmation of non-reimbursement, must be attached. The application period begins on the first Monday in September each year and is valid for one year.
