Description
The Children’s Bonus is a statewide funding program in Burgenland in the area of Social Affairs, Children and Youth as well as Labor & Social Affairs, which benefits low-income families with children under the age of three. Aiming to strengthen social responsibility towards families and to enable an adequate standard of living, legal guardians receive a monthly financial allowance for a maximum of twelve months. The measure targets private individuals with their main residence in Burgenland who are entitled to family allowance for the supported child and whose child has not yet reached the age of three.
The funding amount is based on a three-tier system of net household income: €190 in level 1, €160 in level 2, and €140 in level 3 per month. Applications can be submitted from the birth of the child until the child’s 30th month of life and are made via a standardized form at the Office of the Burgenland Provincial Government, Department 9 – EU, Society and Funding Affairs. Required documentation includes, among others, wage tax certificates or annual wage slips or income tax assessments, monthly wage slips for the last three months, property value assessments for non-accounting-obliged agricultural and forestry workers, proof of other income, insurance data excerpts of co-insured family members, as well as the current tax office notification regarding the receipt of family allowance. This ongoing funding opportunity provides uncomplicated and direct support for young families in Burgenland and contributes to sustainably promoting the growth of the next generation.
