Description

The Child Protection Fund of the Brave Children Foundation supports nonprofit and public institutions nationwide that are committed to disadvantaged children and adolescents. Independent providers of child and youth work, street and child protection projects, as well as care facilities, can apply for grants at any time. The funding is specifically targeted at projects that offer young people in difficult life situations safe places of retreat, educational and recreational opportunities, or psychosocial support. Through the continuous provision of funds from donations, corporate contributions, and supporting memberships, the fund sustainably contributes to strengthening socially disadvantaged families and reducing inequality.

The focus of the funding lies on four key areas: first, youth and children’s centers as well as child village families; second, organized learning and recreational programs for children with limited educational access; third, street social work with emergency aid, legal counseling, and low-threshold warming centers; and fourth, medical and psychological measures for the prevention and intervention in cases of violence or abuse. Applications can be submitted without deadline, provided the applicant is recognized as an independent youth work institution in Germany and the project is clearly related to child protection. Interested providers receive professional support and tailored financing options through the foundation to expand their offerings sustainably and provide children with genuine protection, security, and prospects.
